Loved the crunch! The flavors really bend well. Have also tried with different nuts and even crispy shoestring potato bits. Very flexible. Also loved one reviewers suggestion to add raisins. I've also tried with dried apricot bits! Really nice on dark bread.
I made my own version of this. I used shredded carrots and chopped cucumber in place of the celery and waterchestnuts, I left out the pecans (not a fan of nuts in sandwiches) and I added some sliced green onions. I think my version was much better.
