I think this is an easy and great recipe to use as a base. I added minced jalapenos, turkey, tomatoes,red onions and used 2 onion buns instead of regular bread. My family loved it! The possibilities are endless with this recipe. Thanks!!
I only gave 4 stars because I made some changes. I used the low cal bread so I used 6 slices and I added a cup of low fat cottage cheese which added some tang. I added salt and pepper which it doesn't call for, but I read it on other reviews. It was delicious, the next time I
I make it I will add in some chicken and sauté the onions first as they were a little undercooked. I also cooked it for 1 hr since I added the cottage cheese. The total calories for the whole dish when I made it was just under 1500 for the whole casserole.
