Trimming Fresh Asparagus

Asparagus spears snap off naturally where they are tough. Simply bend the spear near the bottom end and it will break off at the right point. Or, remove an inch or so of the "woody" portion off the bottom of the stalks with a sharp knife.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Husband likes to have this for breakfast. My Husband likes to have this for breakfast. I keep it in the fridge and he warms up a slice in the microwave. It's good with other vegetables too like green beans, or broccoli but you need to cook them a little bit first. Canadian bacon is good and low in fat too if you can't find the boca links. I make this often.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this recipe but without the asparagus. I made this recipe but without the asparagus. I also substituted bacon for the sausage. I actually liked it better the 2nd time when I made it with kraft mexican blend shredded cheese instead of swiss. Its easy and healthy.
