Made this last night. Didn't have ham so I used smoked Turkey sausage which I cut into pieces. Also used instant brown rice. Was very good. Will definitely add to my week night rotation.
After reading the good ratings I was suprised that we really did not like this recipe. To me it tasted a little to "canned" if that makes sense. Maybe using fresh tomatoes and more broth might make it work.
My husband and I loved this recipe! It is the best recipe we've had off of this website. The flavors are great, and work together very well. I might try turkey kielbasa instead of ham next time to tone down the sodium without raising the fat content too much. Overall, great!
