  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix meat, barbecue sauce, bread crumbs and egg. Shape into loaf in 12x8-inch baking dish.
  • Bake 55 minutes. Meanwhile, bring water to boil in medium saucepan. Add milk, butter and salt; stir in potato flakes. Add cream cheese; stir until completely melted.
  • Spread potato mixture over meatloaf; top with Singles. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until Singles begin to melt.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a steamed green vegetable, such as green beans, and a whole wheat roll.

Substitute

Substitute ground turkey for the ground beef.

Special Extra

Prepare meatloaf as directed; cool, then slice. Wrap individual portions in foil. Label, date and place in freezer-weight resealable plastic bags. When ready to serve, unwrap and microwave until heated through (160°F).

It's one of my most requested recipes to make when I have guests over. This is a no fail recipe. I make the meat mixture up before I go to work and let it set all day in the fridge. When I get home I finish off the recipe. That's the best way or make it before bed and reheat it the oven and add mashed potatoes. It's always better the next day.

I consider myself a decent cook and was very excited to find this recipe since it was rated so highly. My husband complains b/c I never make meatloaf. I followed all instructions and it looked very good. The flavor was pretty bland and the potatoes had no flavor, really. I was truly disappointed at the outcome.

I was a little worried about putting american cheese on top but it was surprisingly good. I put chopped onions and green peppers in it too. This was my first but I think im sticking to this one. Both my husband and picky daughter loved it.

I needed to add more milk. I think half the amount would have been fine. My husband then had it as a midnight snack. This will definitely be a standard in our house--very easy.

I wanted to try something different on my meatloaf with the bbq sauce, but I think I'll just stick to tomatoe sauce. Won't be making this again. No one ate it..we just ordered some pizza instead!

I put garlic powder in the mashed potatoes, and used shredded Cheddar since that was what I had on hand. Next time I will either bake it for less time or use 1-1/2 lbs of meat because the meatloaf part was a bit dry.

Very easy to make and quite a value for the money. I have to make it in double batches so my husband can take it to work the next day with bread and gravy. It's typical Kraft Quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is soo good! This is soo good!! Everyone LOVED it. This time I used 1/4c of spicy bbq and 1/4 regular to give it a little zip. I love the potatoes too. Now any time I make potatoes they have to have cream cheese in them.
