What You Need

pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Orange Flavor Gelatin

env. KOOL-AID Orange Flavor Unsweetened Drink Mix

cup sugar

cups boiling water

cups cold water

Make It

MIX dry gelatin mix, drink mix and sugar in medium bowl. Add boiling water; stir 2 min. until mixes are completely dissolved. Stir in cold water.

POUR into 12 paper or plastic cups. Freeze 2 hours or until almost firm.

INSERT wooden pop stick or plastic spoon in center of each cup. Freeze 3 hours or until firm. Remove from cups before serving.

Substitute

Omit sugar. Prepare as directed, using 1 cup of your favorite flavor KOOL-AID Sugar Sweetened Drink Mix instead of the envelope of the unsweetened KOOL-AID.

Note

Non-metal frozen pop molds can be used instead of the paper or plastic cups.

How to Remove Frozen Pops from Cups

Place bottoms of cups under warm running water for 15 sec. Press firmly on bottoms of cups to release pops. (Do not twist or pull pop sticks.)

I used watermelon Jell-O and cherry Kool Aid and these pops turned out very yummy. Will definitely make again.

A good simple idea which makes quite a lot of pops. 12 pops would be quite large popsicles. I used lime jello and orange koolaid. These freeze softly enough that you can chew/bite them but also you can lick them if you like, they won't fall apart.

I am a Diabetic so I used sugar free jello and replaced the sugar with Splenda and it was excellent . Cathy Correll

OHMYGOSH!!! My family LOVES these!! My daughter and I went to the Kool-Aid aisle, picked out one of each flavor - then went to the Jell-O aisle and started matching them up!! We have made: Grape, Orange, Cherry, Strawberry, Lemon (with Lemon Ade Kool-Aid), Lime, Berry Blue, Watermelon (with the Watermelon/Kiwi Kool-Aid), and Raspberry!! We are hooked!!! If you have trouble finding 5 oz cups - you can make 16 - 3 oz. ones!!

Best popscicle recipe there is! Full flavor, not like the watery store bought kind. My grandmother made these for me when I was little - now my kids love them!
