Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cake is the best! This cake is the best! I didn't read the recipe slowly, so by the time i added all the ingredients it was too late to change it. Where it said to add dream whip i added 1 small container of cool whip. I baked it like that and to my surprise it came out perfect. Next time i will do it the correct way to see how much different it will be. Very moist and delicious.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I made this yesterday for my mom's birthday cake. I made this yesterday for my mom's birthday cake. It came out looking really pretty, but it tasted a bit bland to me. The cake was pretty dry, but that was probably my fault for cooking it too long on convection. The juicyness of the pineapples did compliment the dryness of the cake well, though. All in all a cake, but I probably won't make it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband LOVES this pineapple upside down cake. My husband LOVES this pineapple upside down cake. I left off the pecans and the whipped topping mix and I used the pineapple flavored cake mix instead of the yellow cake mix. It turned out great and if you didn't know Splenda now has brown sugar (my husband couldn't tell the difference)!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My coworkers brought this recipe & the Pineapple Coconut Upsidedown Cake recipe in for my birthday. My coworkers brought this recipe & the Pineapple Coconut Upsidedown Cake recipe in for my birthday. I had made both & supplied them with both recipes to pick from. They made both & both were a HIT! This one is a little more "autumny" with the pecans! - Susi B

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The best pineapple upside cake ever. The best pineapple upside cake ever. I had some excess pineapple so I chopped it and mixed it with my cake mixture. I also used pineapple juice instead of water and my cake turned out a lot moister. I would recommend you to do this recipe. GREAT RECIPE!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe is easy to make with readily found ingredients. This recipe is easy to make with readily found ingredients. The center of the cake does not mound to a height that makes it necessary to shear off in order to get a level cake. Delicious!!! This is my favorite recipe.
