since my in-laws had a lost their beloved cat that day & didn't feel like eating, wanted something quick & new for them to try; she's legally blind & doesn't try many new recipes--although she's a GREAT cook, too...I sub. smoked sausage grillers, split & filled w/cheese--hot pepper for us & mozz. for them, green onions, & a dab of horseradish mustard & they were great!!!! hardest part was wrapping--put 1 slice of bacon on top to hold ingred. in & wrapped w/ 2 other slices; will definitely make again!!! [will warm slightly in micro after grilling--not hot enough...]

This is a great variation on the clasic "pig-in-a-blanket". Using Oscar Meyer precooked bacon makes it easy and convenient. The problem I had before making a similar dish is the bacon didn't have time to cook completely. Not any more. I slice tru the hotdogs length wise about thre fourths of the way thru and stuff with Kraft American cheese cut into strips.
