Unfortantely this duty station does not allow families, however there are a few who tough it out (I am one of them) Food is very limited here and stoves are non existent! I found this recipe and it is DELICIOUS! My husband and I ate the whole pot for dinner! Best recipe for Beef Stew that I have ever had- thanks! I highely recommend this recipe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My family and I thought this recipe was excellent. My family and I thought this recipe was excellent. I added an extra cup of carrots and potatoes because I have a larger family. I also made this recipe on the stove which was easy too, and only took about 1 1/2 hrs with 30 min. additional prep time. Not to mention the house smelled excellent from the stew cooking. I would make this recipe again definitely!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Family LOVED this, even my very picky 2 year old loved it. My Family LOVED this, even my very picky 2 year old loved it. There was nearly no leftovers and what we did have my 2 year old ate for lunch the next day. The only thing that my family suggested was to add green beans and corn but we are big veggie eaters. I think that I will also make it in the crock pot the next time. It is definatly a MUST TRY!

I added 1 pk of beef stew mix and few drops of aunt mays hot sauce(any hot sauce will do) into 1/2 cup of warm water and pour it over the entire casserole before I cooked it. If you like a REALLY SPICY AND HOT dish this is for you...little too spicy for the wife but the rest of the family loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe is so good. This recipe is so good. But I added more vegetables. I added corn, green beans and sweet peas and makes it so much better. I also made it with a pot of white rice and dinner rolls. So with the Beef Stew over a bed of rice and rolls, it's to die for (not literally)!! Hope this helps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was supper tonight. This was supper tonight. It was sooo easy to prepare and tasted really good with just a dinner roll. After reading through some of the other reviews, I think next time I might try someone else's idea of adding a little fresh garlic.
