Easy Cheesy Stuffed Chicken

What You Need

Tbsp. butter or margarine

zucchini, shredded (about 2 cups)

onion, chopped

pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Stuffing Mix for Chicken

cup KRAFT Finely Shredded Italian* Five Cheese Blend

chickens (5 lb.), quartered

cup KRAFT Honey Barbecue Sauce

Make It

HEAT oven to 400ºF.

MELT butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add zucchini and onions; cook and stir 2 min. or until tender. Remove from heat. Stir in stuffing mix and cheese until well blended.

INSERT fingers carefully between the meat and skin of each chicken quarter to form a pocket. Fill pockets with stuffing mixture. Place, skin-sides up, in large roasting pan.

BAKE 45 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF). Brush with barbecue sauce. Bake 5 to 10 min. or until heated through.

This was very tasty, the stuffing I used was wholewheat and had a very sticky texture, I would go with regular stovetop next time. My Husband did this on the grill which I would not recommend because most of the stuffing fell out but it was very good with what little stuffing we had. I loved this and I would make it again. A great way to sneak vegetables in without the kids knowing.

It took me a little longer to prepare it, but it's all worth it. I didn't have the exact cheese told in the recipe. I combined mozzarella, sharp cheddar and parmesan (that's all I have at home)Very tasty. My kids enjoyed it and were surprised that zucchini was added in the recipe.

We all enjoyed this meal. I am making it for the second time tonight and will make it many times in the future. I did not use the kraft bbq sauce, I chose to use my favorite bbq sauce instead but followed the rest of the recipe exactly. We love this chicken.

My husband thought this was fantastic! It was a great dish to prepare ahead of time and then just throw in the oven to cook before serving. I served ours with roasted potatoes and green beans.

I made this, but I used shredded sharp cheese instead, it was excellent! The chicken was nice and juicy and the honey BBQ sauce made a nice combination with the savory stuffing, this will be handed down in years to come

I sauteed the onions, added grated zucchini and the Stove Top and let sit 15 minutes covered. Fabulous!!a great way to get extra veggies!!
