  • Cook chicken in hot oil in large skillet on medium heat 6 to 7 min. on each side or until done (165°F). Remove chicken from skillet; cover to keep warm.
  • Add macaroni, water, milk and butter to skillet. Cook 8 to 10 min. or until macaroni is tender, stirring frequently.
  • Stir in cheese until melted. Add tomatoes and seasonings; cook 2 min. or until heated through. Return chicken to skillet; stir gently to cover chicken with tomato mixture.

Serving Suggestion

Enjoy this dish with a mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Dressing and a serving of your favorite fresh fruit for a well-balanced meal.


Omit chicken, oil, macaroni, water, milk and butter. Prepare 1 pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner in large skillet as directed on package. Add tomatoes, oregano and crushed red pepper; mix well. Add 2 cups shredded cooked store-bought rotisserie chicken; cook until heated through, stirring occasionally.

Special Extra

Add chopped fresh jalapeno peppers to the tomato mixture for a spicy alternative.

    Based reviews from other users, I made a few adjustments. Turning this into something gourmet was easy! I halved the recipe since I only had 2 chicken breasts in the freezer. I used half of all the ingredients, with the exception of the milk, I used a little more than 1/2 C. I cut the chicken into pieces and marinated it in a bacon ranch dressing. I then browned, adding seasonings (Penzeys 4S salt, onion powder, mural of flavor) while cooking. Once the noodles were done, I used 1C of medium cheddar, 1/4 C of havarti and about 3Tb of cream cheese. Delicious! Who says dinner needs to be boring!?

    I made this recipe tonight . I used sun dried tomato basil spread instead of tomatoes since the kids aren't tomato lovers esp if they are visible. They absolutely loved it !! I served it with cooked green beans.

    Absolutely delicious! I actually cut the recipe in half and there was still plenty of food for two! I did add a bit more crushed red pepper and mixed fat free cheddar cheese with colby jack cheese. Served with asparagus. Will definitely be making this again!!
