Easy Chili

This was good, my family enjoyed it. I made a few changes and adapted to what I had on hand. I used cannellini beans instead of kidney beans; instead of putting the jalapenos in the chili I put jarred ones on top of the chili for whoever wanted them; and I used tomato sauce and half of the beef stock instead of tomato paste....it still turned out great!!!

I made this to use up leftover tomato puree and beef broth that I had in the fridge. It was really good!! I had to improvise a little since I didn't have jalapenos or a large onion...I used one shallot and added onion powder. I also added diced tomatoes (some with habaneros). I didn't use soy sauce since the only soy we had was very salty...so I just used more Worchestershire. Also didn't have enough broth, so I didn't drain the beans or diced tomatoes. And I added canned corn and cumin, because every great chili has that!

Yummy! I've made this twice in the last month now and the guys LOVE it! They are already asking me to make it again! I made some changes..instead of the jalepeno I used a can of diced tomatoes with jalepenos (I see no use for the tomato paste with this), I also chopped up a red and green pepper and sauteed with the onion and beef before adding everything else. And I highly reccommend flavoring the meat with a packet of either taco or chili seasoning, definetly makes it flavorful! A new favorite in our house!!!

Not at all what we expected based on the reviews. It turned out SO soupy we had to add some cornstarch to it to thicken it up. Not something we'll make again...

I made this recipe last night and my family loved it. I followed recipe exactly. I did use 2 lbs of ground beef, because we love it. My hubby said it was the best I ever made, and I have tried several. I really like that it didn't require garlic (we are not be fans). You have to try! You won't be disappointed! Very easy to prepare.

Best chili I've ever made!!! Got rave reviews. I made 2 minor changes based on personal preference. Instead of the tomato puree i used diced tomato. Because of the water in the diced toms i used 1/2 the broth. Also, i discovered that my local supermarket sells diced toms w/chilies in it. **** SUPER GOOD. ****

This was an excellent recipe for chilli. My only complaint is that the meat was seasoned during the browning process. The next time I make this chile. I will add taco or italian seasoning when I brown the meat to give it more flavor.

Worcestershire sauce just added that little flavor as did the beef broth. Really liked it. Can't wait to make it for my church's Chili Cook Off this winter.

I've made this recipe several times. Our family loves it and so do my teenagers' friends. I usually add a little more red pepper flakes and leave out the cilantro. I provide toppings on the side of: chopped red onion, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and sour cream. I let everyone choose their own toppings. Served with white corn tortilla chips on the side...it's fantastic!
