  • Cut slice from top of bread loaf; remove center of loaf, leaving 1-inch-thick shell. Cut removed bread and loaf top into bite-size pieces; place in resealable plastic bag. Store at room temperature until ready to use.
  • Combine all remaining ingredients; spoon into bread shell. Cover with plastic wrap.
  • Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Serve with the bread pieces as dippers.

How to Drain Thawed Frozen Spinach

When recipes call for thawed spinach to be "well drained," this means the excess liquid must be pressed or squeezed out. Use clean hands to squeeze out portions of the spinach, or place the spinach in a sieve and press on it with the back of a large spoon.
