Easy English Trifle Recipe

What You Need

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cups cold milk, divided

1

pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

2-1/2

cups cubed prepared pound cake

1/2

cup strawberry preserves

1

can (15-1/4 oz.) peach slices, drained, chopped

Make It

BEAT cream cheese and 1/2 cup of the milk in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add dry pudding mix and remaining 1-1/2 cups milk; beat on low speed 1 minute.

LAYER half each of the cake, preserves, peaches and pudding mixture in 1-1/2-quart serving bowl; repeat layers. Cover surface with wax paper or plastic wrap.

REFRIGERATE serveral hours or until chilled. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

great! except instead of using vanilla pudding, I used custard- the true traditional English way!

What a delicious and easy recipe. This was such a huge hit at my house, my family devoured it. When I went to make this I thought I had all the ingredients but I had no peaches. So I used mandarin oranges instead and I thought raspberry jam would go better with that than the strawberry and it definitely did. I can't wait to make this again using different fruit and jams.

This was so easy and wonderful. I took it to a potluck at work and it disappeared. Everyone really enjoyed it.

Since I am allergic to strawberries & peaches, I'm going to make it with lemon pudding, orange marmalade and mandarin orange slices.

I made this for my daughters teacher conferences and they loved it!! It was so much easier then the old fashion way and pound cake is easy to find rather then lady fingers!!! GREAT Recipe
