  • Cook chicken in large skillet on medium-high heat 2 to 3 min. on each side or until lightly browned on both sides. Meanwhile, mix cream cheese spread, milk, lemon zest, juice, garlic powder and pepper until blended.
  • Mix 3/4 cup cream cheese mixture, broth and capers; pour over chicken. Cover; simmer on low heat 5 to 6 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF).
  • Meanwhile, place asparagus in shallow microwaveable dish. Add water; cover with waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH 4 to 5 min. or until asparagus is crisp-tender.
  • Serve chicken with asparagus and sauce.

Use remaining cream cheese mixture as a sauce for pasta or vegetables to provide a creamy lemon-flavored twist.

So good, my 6 year old picky eater said that I should enter it into a food contest, she loved it so much! One of the rare times everyone in my family gobbled up every bit on their plate. (I made it with gently cooked frozen green beans, so they were still slightly crisp and also put the sauce on them) Also, I use the entire container so the sauce is a little thicker :)

I served it with angel hair pasta.cooked in chicken broth seasoned with garlic,salt,pepper, a little onion powder and fresh parsley.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was awesome and the capers really gave it a nice kick. This was awesome and the capers really gave it a nice kick. I did cut up the asparagus and the chicken so it was able to be eaten with a fork only. Just mixed it all up in the pan. I will try it with shrimp next!
