Dessert can be part of a balanced diet, but remember to keep tabs on portions.
Stir in 1 cup chopped or sliced fresh fruit along with the whipped topping. Do not use fresh pineapple or kiwi, however, since these fruits contain an enzyme that prevents the gelatin from setting.
Prepare as directed, using JELL-O Strawberry Daiquiri or Pina Colada Flavor Gelatin.

I tried this recipe using the strawberry daiquiri flavor gelatin, garnishing the top with sliced strawberries. I also made it with the pina colada flavor gelatin, garnishing the top with grated chocolate (for color) and coconut flakes. My Cinco de Mayo guests all greatly enjoyed it. Best of all, it was really easy to make!
Bland. I had to freeze this to make it thicken up. It may have been because I used fat free cool whip, but I would not make this again. Stick to a regular margarita pie recipe- it's more work but at least it's worth eating!
