Easy Marshmallow Pinwheels

Kids love this easy treat! A mixture of marshmallows melted in flavored gelatin is chilled in a pan, then rolled up and sliced into wiggly pinwheels.

What You Need

pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Gelatin, any flavor

cup warm water

1-1/2

cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows

Make It

STIR gelatin mix and water in medium microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 1-1/2 min.; stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.

STIR in marshmallows. Microwave on HIGH 1 min. or until marshmallows are partially melted. Stir with whisk until marshmallows are completely melted. Pour into 8- or 9-inch square pan sprayed with cooking spray.

REFRIGERATE 45 min. or until set. Run sharp knife around edges of pan to loosen gelatin layer from pan. Starting at 1 edge, roll up gelatin layer tightly. Cut into 1/2-inch slices. Refrigerate, covered, until ready to serve.

These pinwheels are sure to be a hit with kids. They are easy to make and a serving, 3 pinwheels, makes a nice sweet treat for kids.

Variations

JELL-O Marshmallow JIGGLERS: Prepare recipe as directed, but do not roll up. Cut into shapes with metal cookie cutters. Two-Color JIGGLERS: Prepare recipe as directed. After refrigerating, repeat recipe in same pan with another gelatin flavor. Cool second flavor gelatin to room temperature before pouring into pan. Refrigerate as directed. Cut into shapes as desired.

I made these with 2 cups of marshmallows like suggested, but thought they turned out way to sweet. I will be trying these again but this time I am going to follow the recipe.

Big hit with the kids! They gobbled them all up! Very easy & everyone thought I put alot of work into them!

Recipe was easy to make and tasted great. Only problem was that the pinwheels would not stay together when they were picked up. Cooking spray made one side too greasy to roll.

Excellent, big hit with the adults and kids! I used the recommendation from another user and used 2 cups of marshmallows (loosely packed)! I plan on making these again for Easter, serving them in on a bed of colored coconut!

Maybe I did something wrong in the process but when I put it in the fridge to firm up, it did so unevenly then I couldnt get it off the cookie sheet when it was done.

Every time we go to a party with a carry-in and there are supposed to be lots of kids there I make 4 batches of these in 4 different colors and lay them out on a tray in diagonal rows. It makes a beautiful tray and everyone thinks you did something so special for the party. It is a great hit. Do not use sugar free Jello. (They don't turn out well.) I Also increase the marshmallows to 2 cups.

i made this recipe for a pool party and everyone thought they were great and looked so cool [put them on a nice plate and they become graphic] :D i will be serving them at all my kid's bday parties to come as well as those for adults - good for everyone!
