  • Beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla in medium bowl until blended. Gradually add sugar, mixing well after each addition.
  • Freeze 1 hour or until cream cheese mixture is firm enough to handle.
  • Shape cream cheese mixture into 40 balls, using about 1 rounded tsp. cream cheese mixture for each ball. Place in single layer in shallow pan; refrigerate 15 min. or until firm.
  • Place sprinkles in small bowl, then place chocolate chips and chopped toffee bits in 2 separate small bowls.
  • Remove 14 cheese balls from refrigerator; roll, 1 at a time, in sprinkles. Place in single layer on parchment-covered baking sheet; place in refrigerator. Repeat with 13 of the remaining cheese balls and chocolate chips, then repeat with remaining cheese balls and toffee. Keep refrigerated.

Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delicious, but needed some altering. After reviewing the previous comments on this recipe, I decided to see if I could slightly alter the instructions to make the cheese firmer. I first cut the butter (not margarine or any butter substitute) back to 2 tbsp. Second I did not allow the cream cheese or butter to soften, instead I used them straight from the fridge. I also used vanilla bean paste, not the liquid extract. After I mixed the ingredients, I put them in the freezer and they mixture was quite firm. I did return the bowl to the freezer whe it seemed it was softening too much. This is very good with graham cracker crumbs and the chocolate chips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy recipe! These are really delicious. I only took out a little dough at a time to make the balls, and later one ball at a time to coat it. As soon as the batter became room temperature, it became impossible to work with. The sprinkles are the easiest topping to cover the cheese balls with, but the toffee and mini chips are worth it. They taste so much better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BIG HIT!! I made these for a neighborhood cookout. Didn't think they would be all that special, but ALL loved them. Adults and children. Easy but time consuming. Took a couple of hours not including freezer & frig time. Did have to return to freezer a few times to keep firm enough to roll around in coverings. Used pistachios, pecans, m&ms, and toffee bits. I was very pleased just how much everyone liked them. I doubled recipe but should've made more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not nearly enough powdered sugar 3/4 cup of powdered sugar to 8 oz of cream cheese is off, you're pretty much making cream cheese frosting. Increase powdered sugar until dough is firm to the touch and then freeze, the amount you need will vary depending on the temperature of butter and cream cheese

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A sticky nightmare. no matter what I did, I could not make the "dough" firm enough to work with. I finally put some plastic wrap in my cake pop pan, drizzled chocolate in the wells, added some filling and chocolate on top..still the filling did not firm up..it was a sticky mess. I am currently trying to save the rest of the filling by making something out of it. Tasted fine...sticky nightmare of a mess.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a mess! I guess I should have read the reviews first. The recipe seemed simple enough but this turned out to be a goopy mess for me as well. Even two hours of time in the freezer didn't help. Could not shape into balls whatsoever. How did you even get the photo to look so good? I would give no stars if I could.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Yummy but messy I've made these twice. They are really yummy, but I struggled to get the mixture to firm up to wear it was very easy to work with. I rolled them in Oreo and graham cracker crumbs - those were both successful toppings, but I couldn't get them to stay in nice ball shapes.
