  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Mix cheese, dressing mix and garlic powder.
  • Moisten chicken with water; coat with cheese mixture. Place in single layer in shallow baking dish.
  • Bake 20 to 25 min. or until chicken is done (165°F).

Special Extra

For a golden appearance, after chicken is done set oven to Broil. Place chicken 6 inches from heat. Broil 2 to 4 min. or until chicken is golden brown.


Prepare as directed, choosing one of the following flavor combinations: Mediterranean Parmesan Chicken: Substitute 1 Tbsp. lemon zest and 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves for the garlic powder. Parmesan-Onion Chicken: Substitute 2 Tbsp. minced onion flakes for the garlic powder. Spicy Parmesan Chicken: Substitute ground red pepper (cayenne) for the garlic powder. Parmesan Pizza Chicken: Substitute 1 tsp. dried basil leaves and 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper for the garlic powder.

    This is my go-to recipe when I want something easy and delicious. I tend to use chicken tenders instead of chicken breasts because I get more delicious topping. I also always do the suggested step of broiling it for a few minutes after it's cooked to get it to brown and crisp a bit. I think this step is essential. These are great on their own, used in salads or on pasta.

    Instead of in the oven, I put a layer of green beans on the bottom of the crock pot, add the chicken breasts (sometimes chicken tenders instead), cover with the cheese mixture, and then cook on low until the chicken starts to fall apart --easy "fix it and forget it" meal I can put on while the baby naps. Then I add rice or pasta for a side and it's an easy and delicious meal! My kids absolutely love it!

    I bake this at 350 and add a little grated parmesean over the top, my family loves it.
