I varied the recipe just alittle because I did not have a pan big enough. I browned the meat with salt and pepper, drained. Cooked pasta, drained. Put sauce in meat (garlic and onion sauce) and canned mushrooms. After it bubbled, I added the sauce mix to the noodles, warmed over the stove, added cheese and mixed in. Then once it got stiff, I served. Adding extra cheese (mozz and parm) once plated. I added about half the sauce jar of water. Totally delicious!! Even better reheated the next day!

I USED 3 CUPS OF WATER, ROMANO AND PARMESAN CHEESE SPAGHETTI SAUCE (INSTEAD OF PLAIN PIZZA SAUCE), A LITTLE MORE CHEESE AND THE ROMANO AND PARMESAN GRATED CHEESE. MY HUSBAND AND KIDS LOVED IT. I SERVED A CRUSTY ITALIAN BREAD AND SALAD WITH IT. IT WAS GREAT AND WILL CERTAINLY BE SOMETHING I WILL COOK AGAIN. I THINK NEXT TIME I WILL USE GROUND TURKEY INSTEAD OF GROUND BEEF. I THINK IT GIVES A GOOD FLAVOR IN MY SPAGHETTI SAUCE NORMALLY.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My entire family loved this recipe. My entire family loved this recipe. Instead of mostaccioli, we used fusili and it was delicious. We also added the spaghetti sauce when we added the water and noodles and I think that gave the pasta an excellent flavor. This would be a great one skillet meal for camping too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a regular recipe I use to make my Mostaccioli. This is a regular recipe I use to make my Mostaccioli. I leave off the Mozzarella and put the Parmesan on the table to everyone can use at their liking. Depending on how much time I have I make some meatballs to go with it and some garlic bread.
