Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use the same recipe as tmj2008, i.e. I use the same recipe as tmj2008, i.e. catsup instead of barbque sauce and the brown sugar, dry mustard & catsup topping. Is utterly delicious and so easy. Actually the topping is what brings out the flavor, and the meatloaf is never dry. I have sent this recipe to many friends. USING VENISON .. I use venison that has suet added by processing plant, and you never taste the wild which most people hate, including me. I have served to people who hate deer meat, and they didn't know they were eating venison. One friend who hates venison and all of my dogs will come to dinner if I'm serving the meat-loaf. That is proof of how good it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After reading a few of the reviews I was having second thoughts about using this recipe. After reading a few of the reviews I was having second thoughts about using this recipe. I did go ahead with it, however, I did use some of the other tips that I read. Instead of water, I used 1 cup of beef broth and I also added a 1/2 cup of onions & a 1/2 cup of peppers. Everything else stayed the same. It did take it longer than 1 hour to cook, more like 1 1/2 hrs. The prep time was very fast & easy to do. The meatloaf was very moist, not at all dry like some of the others had mentioned, and it was very tasty. It heated up well the next day and tasted better the second time around. The family loved it and I will definitely make this again!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband and I both love Stove Top, so I had to try this easy recipe. My husband and I both love Stove Top, so I had to try this easy recipe. Even after reading all the good reviews, I was skeptical about how it would taste. We all (hubby, me, and 2 young kids) loved it! It tastes great leftover, too. I will be sharing this recipe and definitely making it for potlucks. I have another good recipe for meatloaf, but it's so time-consuming to put together -- this one really just takes a few minutes! My only problem was BBQ sauce running down the sides and burning in the pan, so I'll add the sauce near the end of cooking when I make it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe is so easy and tastes great too. This recipe is so easy and tastes great too. I even forgot the water and it still came out great. I have never prepared dinner in less than 5 minutes before. Next time it might only take 2 minutes to prepare now that I have tried it and know what I am doing. I might try different sauces instead of just bbq sauce. I know you can use tomato sauce or ketchup but to get creative I might try all kinds of other sauces for different tastes. I guess anything goes. Meatloaf is also great for my 2 year old since it is soft and easy to break up for him into chewable pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can't get over how easy and delicious this recipe is! I can't get over how easy and delicious this recipe is! I am NOT a cook, and I have never made (or even liked) meatloaf, but my family and I LOVED this. I made a few little additions: 1T minced garlic, 1/3c diced onion, 1T Worcestershire sauce, layer of Parmesan cheese horizontally spread across the center of the loaf, salt, pepper, a few crushed red pepper flakes, and took it out of the oven halfway through bake time to spread another 1/2c BBQ sauce on it. It was so incredibly moist and delicious. Tasted just as great on day 2!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My family loves this recipe and after 38 years we have stopped searching for new meatloaf recipes. My family loves this recipe and after 38 years we have stopped searching for new meatloaf recipes. This is the best one. Helpful tips: I place the stuffing in a plastic bag and beat it with a rolling pin. I mix the egg, water, and sauce together with a whisk before adding the crumbs (for a more uniform mix)and then add the meat. I also like it better in a loaf pan than shaped. I occasionlly mix other BBQ sauces in with the Kraft for slightly difrferent flavors. Really easy and good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this the other day. I made this the other day. Stove Top is great, has all the herbs no muss or fuss. I did use 1 pound ground beef with half pound of breakfast (bulk) pork sausage. Nothing on top, used canned gravy instead when serving. Also threw in some dried minced onions, about a tablespoon with the eggs. Hint or a real easy clean up make sure you spray cooking spray in pan before placing in loaf.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Yes, this recipe was very easy, but not unfortunately not very good. Yes, this recipe was very easy, but not unfortunately not very good. I followed it EXACTLY (not like others who reviewed it and called it "great" but then substitued Italian bread crumbs, or salsa or cheese or other ingredients etc.) My family of 5 thought it was too mushy and we could taste more of the chicken stuffing mix then the meat in the meatloaf. If you think about it, chicken flavoring mixed with beef does not even sound appetizing. I actually discarded the leftovers because I knew no one would touch it again, even for sandwiches.
