I made this & will try it again as soon as I figure out a way to cut out the 1250 mg of sodium. I'm sure it's the Mac & cheese so I will have to experiment with fresh ingredients to try & make something similar but healthy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super easy and quick meal. Super easy and quick meal. We serve it with tortilla chips and use it as a dip (especially when reheating leftovers). I've made it with ground turkey and only 1/2 lb of meat and it's still great.

Because this allowed for such variation, I added more beef than the recipe stated, a generous amount of chile powder, onions, garlic powder and onion powder. I boiled my mac., while I browned the beef and this dish was done in less than 20 minutes. Additionally, I served it with extra salsa, sour cream and tortillo chips on the side. My family of (6) loved it. When I make it again, I will try adding black beans to it as well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have made this recipe a ton. I have made this recipe a ton. My husband loves it (my little ones are picky and won't even try it BUT...) My stepkids came to visit over the summer and I made it twice while they were visiting. They keep asking their mom to make and she even called to get the recipe. They won't eat her goolash, they say it isn't as good as they one they had while visiting us!!

If my husband eating fourth's, and my 2 year old inhaling it, are an indication that this was a hit, then consider it a hit. When my husband says, "You can add this to the rotation", I know it's a keeper! However, I do think it could use some spicing up...we added some hot sauce and it added a spicieness that I think was needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this recipe today for dinner and loved it! I made this recipe today for dinner and loved it! It is a great way to spice up macaroni and cheese. I used lean ground beef to cut out extra fat. I also added frozen mixed vegetables including corn, carrots, and peas to the skillet as well. I will definitely keep this recipe in my kit and make it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this for supper tonight. I made this for supper tonight. I used some of other suggestions I found while reading the ratings on this dish. I seasoned the meat with chili powder and taco seasoning; and I used a hotter salsa than suggested. I think it really helped add lots of flavor! Really easy, too! One pot meals are great!
