Easy Skillet-Fried Chicken

All you need to thrill the crowd with homemade fried chicken are a few pounds of chicken pieces, a bag filled with seasonings and a hot skillet.

What You Need

2-1/2
lb.  chicken pieces
1
env.  (0.7 oz.) GOOD SEASONS Garlic & Herb Dressing Mix, divided
2
tsp.  chili powder, divided
1
cup  panko bread crumbs
2
Tbsp.  finely chopped fresh parsley

cups  oil

Make It

SPRINKLE chicken with 1 Tbsp. dressing mix and 1 tsp. chili powder in shallow glass dish; turn to coat. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours to marinate.

MIX bread crumbs, parsley, remaining dressing mix and chili powder in resealable plastic bag. Add chicken, 1 piece at a time; shake to coat.

HEAT oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook 10 min. or until browned on all sides, turning frequently. Cover. Cook on medium heat 30 min. or until chicken is done (165°F), turning occasionally. Drain on paper towels.
