Ratings & Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This was terrible! This was terrible! I love beef stew, as does my husband, but neither of us would eat it. Such a waste of food :( All we could taste was the dressing/bbq combo... it tasted horrible. I ended up straining & rinsing all of the meat/veggies to try to "save" it and made my own sauce. I've made many, many great foods from Kraft recipes, but this was definitely not a winner... My husband told me not to make this recipe again, and I would not recommend it either. Sorry Kraft! There are tons of great recipes out there (highly recommend the grasshopper fudge cake), but this one didn't didn't make par.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This was the WORST beef stew my family and I have ever tasted. This was the WORST beef stew my family and I have ever tasted. I used to think there was nothing my husband wouldn't eat. Well, I was WRONG! None of my family would eat this. What a shame to waste all that food that had to be thrown away when so many people are going hungry. This was NOT even edible. This is the first time Kraft recipes have let me down. so disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW I was not expecting this too be that great, but this blew me away. WOW I was not expecting this too be that great, but this blew me away. I didn't use vinaigrette dressing, I used plain old italian but added 1/4 cup extra. The flavor is phenominal and we loved this recipe HOWEVER the flour mixture at the end didn't turn out so good it clumped into white balls thru out the mixture and didn't mix well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made about a month ago for my family and we loved it! I made about a month ago for my family and we loved it! I am actually making as we speak for dinner tonight. I like that fact that there is a little bit of an BBQ taste but its not overpowering. The only issue I had was having it thicken, so this time I won't do that. I will just eat it without the water and flour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was delicious! This was delicious! I did not find this to be an overpowering BBQ taste at all. It was a perfect blend. Instead of flour to thicken I used cornstarch, and it was a perfect amount of gravy. It says to cook for 8-9 hrs on low but mine was done in 4 hrs on low. I have a rival 5 quart slow cooker. Delicious!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My family (especially my husband) thought it really tasted great. My family (especially my husband) thought it really tasted great. My hubby told me that it was the best stew I've ever made and that the vegetables took on a great flavor. I could only find a cut of beef that was a little over 2# so I doubled the recipe to have leftovers - which didn't last too long!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was very easy and very filling! This was very easy and very filling! I omitted the bacon since I didn't have any on hand, and added celery. I also added more veggies than the recipe called for, so I added 1 1/2 times the broth, dressing and BQ sauce. It turned out really well and has become a family favorite on cold winter days!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! LOVE IT! This has become my husband and my favorite cold day meal. I like the flavors of the Italian dressing and barbecue sauce, it think it gives it that extra 'umpf'. I do make one small change by removing the bacon and replacing it with about 1 cup of frozen peas to give it some added color.
