I made this for a Christmas party, and it was the first time that I had ever made a trifle, and I would do this one over and over again! It is very easy and very yummy! I did substitute the shaved chocolate with chocolate wafers and made a crumb from the wafers. I just put a few of the chocolate wafers in a baggie and used a rolling pin to crush them. I also used the chocolate wafers in lieu of the nilla wafers. Everyone enjoyed this, and now I am going to make it for my family Christmas party on Christmas day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was so delicious and so easy to make! This was so delicious and so easy to make! It also looks beautiful in that bowl! My family loved it so much that I would certainly make it again! I used espresso coffee instead of the Maxwell house and I added some Khalua and sugar to the coffee as well to add extra flavor. I then dipped the cookies individually into the coffee rather than drizzle it on top. I think this makes a difference if you like the strong coffee flavor, which we did!! I ended up using a lot more than 48 cookies because I made three layers. This was great, I'll never use mascarpone cheese again!!

I am known as the "trifle lady" at my church, so I am thrilled to have a new recipe to add to my line-up. I am making this today with sugar-free ingredients, and I am going to use white chocolate pudding mix instead of vanilla. I will report back tomorrow on how it went! :-)

I made this last nite and was a very disappointed when we went to eat it...I think next time I will only use 2 cups of milk as it only calls for 2 boxes of pudding...it was pretty soupy after the second layer of nilla wafers and then coffee being poured over that. I substitued all ingredients for low fat/no sugar as well so that could have been the problem too; but I reduced the fat to 3 g per serving rather than the 12 from the original receipe. Overall, I'll make again with some modifications.

The first time I made this recipe, I brought it to a party and everyone raved about it! I made it again for my husband, but substituted sugar-free Nilla wafers and sugar-free pudding because he's diabetic. It was great except for the substitution of the sugar-free pudding, I'd need to work on the amount of sugar-free pudding versus regular to improve the consistency. The taste was great both times. Definitely a favorite!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS!!!!! I've made this several times and love it. It is easy to make and it has a beautiful presentation. The fresh raspberries although a bit pricy at times are the special touch that make this dessert great. Worth the couple extra dollars for the added flavor! This has become a new favorite dessert of mine to make for family dinners. A big hit!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe was oh my goodness delicious! This recipe was oh my goodness delicious! The only thing I would change would be add more expresso/coffee flavor to the dish. Maybe I didn't add "strong" enough coffee to my wafers. I made this(along with the strawberry/lemon layered dessert) for a family get together and they both disappeared quickly with rave reviews! Thank you!!!
