Extra Crispy Pork Chop and Apple Casserole

Imagine a savory version of apple pie—served with extra crispy pork chops—and you'll have an idea just how moist and delicious this casserole is.

What You Need

1/3
cup  sugar
2
Tbsp.  flour
1/4
tsp.  ground allspice
4
cups  sliced Granny Smith apples
8
 bone-in pork chops (3 lb.), 1/2 inch thick
1
pkt.  SHAKE 'N BAKE Extra Crispy Seasoned Coating Mix

Make It

HEAT oven to 425°F.

MIX sugar, flour and allspice in large bowl until blended. Add apples; toss to evenly coat. Spread onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.

COAT chops with coating mix as directed on package; place over apples.

BAKE 35 min. or until chops are done (145ºF). Remove from oven. Let stand 3 min. before serving.

Kraft Kitchens Tips

Special Extra
Toss 1/4 cup dried cranberries or cherries with the apple mixture before spreading onto bottom of prepared baking dish. Top with coated chops and continue as directed.
