Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cupcakes! Great Cupcakes! Easy to Make! I made them for my son's class. See my posted photo #3. I used Devil's food cake mix. The choc. pudding mix does add so much to the cake. I made 1 extra cupcake for my husband and I to taste and we so wanted more and couldn't get over how great they looked. Those who complained they don't look like eyeballs please see my pic # 3. Place them together in the tray and they definitely look like eyeballs. I thought so even without putting them together. Going to make a 2nd batch for my son's Tae Kwon Do Halloween party. I bought a larger red cookie frosting and it worked well. Does take a little time to decorate but so satisfying with the outcome. First time I did anything like this and I'm so giddy. Thanks Kraft for an Easy Great Recipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My teenaged sons and their friends LOVED! My teenaged sons and their friends LOVED!! these. They ate them up in two days!! (I could not find the green gummies at Albertsons, Walmart or Walgreens, but they were at Tom Thumb (a Safeway store).. but were sold out. I bought a substitute, but it was too small to hold the red eyeball hard candy. You definitely need the red candies and green gummies to make this work. Also, I needed 2 tubes of red icing.) Anyway, they taste absolutely perfect!

Not only was it super easy to decorate them, but the kids were able to do everything but the lines themselves. I did think later that I could have used red string licorice instead of gel, so I might try that next time. But the best part was that I found that adding jello pudding mix to the cake made it taste AMAZING... I will do this with every chocolate cake/cupcake recipe in the future.

The kids just loved the eyeball effect. I used red, green and purple gel. couldn't get the green gummy rings, so I used orange and yellow ones. They still looked great. A little time consuming if you're not used to decorating cupcakes.

Because our school asks for storebought treats, not homeade, I bought white iced cupcakes and got the candy and let the kids make their own eyeballs! We used red licorice strings for the bloodshot effect instead of handing out tubes of gel. It was a huge hit with the first graders in my sons class!

I used multi-color gummy circles and then just used the red gel in the middle of the circle (instead of additional candy). I displayed the cupcakes on a cupcake stand and received so many compliments!

If not for the flavor (they tasted great), but for mostly for the presentation. They were extremely easy to put together and I'll definitely make them again next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I allowed my sons to make this recipe for their cousins. I allowed my sons to make this recipe for their cousins. They enjoyed making them as much as their cousins telling them how cool they was. The cupcakes went over better than plain old candy!!!! A win-win in my book....
