And like the very first person, I, too, always put the bacon on the bottom! I also always add a sliced hard boiled egg. DH likes his double decker fashion; bacon and tomato on the bottom, egg and lettuce on top. Yummy and one of our favorites, though a pain to make when all 5 kids lived here and wanted 2 sandwiches each!

It was still very good. I just want to say to the people out there that think we don't need a recipe for BLT, think again. Anyone that has commented on this recipe has given us a whole new way to eat a BLT by adding their ideas and giving us new sandwiches...the possibilities are endless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderfully refreshing! Wonderfully refreshing! I slice the tomatoes on the thick side and use thick bacon. Everyone here thinks the sandwiches are great, especially during the HOT summer!
