I made this "dessert" salad numerous times this summer after it was a hit for a special Mother's Day pontoon cruise. The carmelized almonds were the key ingredient, the poppyseed dressing, too, was light and tasty. Everyone commented on having strawberries in the salad. It's easy to make with few ingredients, and everything can be mixed ahead of time (I added the almonds just before serving). Delicious!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a great salad! What a great salad! I used packaged Spinach leaves and a bag of Dole "European" lettuces, instead of the Boston lettuce. I cut back on time by using pre-packaged salad almonds that were sweetly coated and added a can of drained mandarin oranges. This salad makes a great meal on its own. I will definitely use this one over and over throughout the summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This salad is absolutely delicious. This salad is absolutely delicious. It is quick, easy, and very refreshing. I usually make my own dressing, but decided to try the store dressing indicated. We were very pleased with the results. The candied almonds and strawberries made this salad a cut-above for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am currently pregnant, and was really getting tired of eating salads. I am currently pregnant, and was really getting tired of eating salads. This salad is by far my favorite now. It is so GOOD! You don't even have to cook the almonds w/ sugar if you don't want to, it's still very sweet. I was amazed, it was like eating a desert!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this salad so much! I loved this salad so much! As suggested by other members, I also bought the honey glazed almonds. I misplaced my chopper, though, so that of course would of made it better and I'll do that next time! I'm making another one for lunch I loved it so much.
