What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix

eggs

cup plain nonfat yogurt

1/2

cup oil

Tbsp. powdered sugar

1/2

cup powdered sugar, sifted

container (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread

oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided

Tbsp. MAXWELL HOUSE Instant Coffee

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

LINE greased 15x10x1-inch pan with parchment or waxed paper. Grease and flour paper; set aside. Beat first 4 ingredients in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Spread 3 cups batter into pan; tap pan gently on counter to remove any air bubbles. Pour remaining batter into 4 to 6 paper-lined muffin cups. Bake cake and cupcakes 15 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean.

MEANWHILE, place large sheet of parchment paper on top of clean kitchen towel; sprinkle evenly with 3 Tbsp. powdered sugar. Invert cake onto towel; remove pan and top sheet of parchment paper. Starting at 1 of the short ends, roll up cake with parchment paper and towel. Cool on wire rack 30 min. Remove cupcakes from pan to wire rack; cool completely. Set cupcakes aside for another use.

GRATE enough chocolate to measure 1 Tbsp. grated chocolate; set aside. Microwave remaining chocolate in small microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min. or until partially melted. Stir until completely melted. Beat 1/2 cup powdered sugar and cream cheese spread in small bowl with mixer until well blended. Stir in melted chocolate.

UNROLL cake; remove paper and towel. Spread cake with cream cheese mixture; roll up. Refrigerate 30 min.; place on serving plate. Stir instant coffee granules into COOL WHIP; spread over log. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Cut into 20 (1/2-inch-thick) slices to serve. Sprinkle with reserved grated chocolate.

I made this again and my whole family loved it i did half of the log with the coffee stuff and the other with whip cream and toffee pieces and i switch the cake to chocolate and the icing with just the Cream Cheese and powdered sugar

kraft might want to rethink this one. after reading reviews i made it anyway. it fell apart. i let it cool and took my time.not a keeper. the cake tasted very good. it just wouldn't unroll.

I just have to say I've make many baked goods and this by far is the best one and the easist i have ever made and now i have many requests to make this at every function as a matter of fact we are going for a new years day dinner and guess what i have to make thank you for you web site and the helpful videos i look forward to more happy new year to all the staff

This was absolutely disgusting and dissapointing. I made twelve of these cakes, and each one broke into many pieces. When I got one right, the coffee topping was so terrible and strong that I saw my guests scrape it off, and all of the kids left their pieces untouched. I will never make this cake again!

The coffee grounds made it taste awful! I took it to my party and was the joke of the party b/c no one liked it.

I liked making this dessert because it was a challenge. Every one at the party loved it! I am not a big coffee fan so I wasn't fond of the topping, however, the cake and the filling was delicious! I think I will use the idea of this recipe to make a similar cake for Christmas.

This is amazing! I had no trouble at all, I made 4 of them all different variations. Some pumpkin, lemon curd with raspberry, cream cheese and this. I used parchment paper and I sprayed a buttery spray like pam on it. Not an ounce of problem. Quickly rolled it loosely in a towl and let it rest. Once cooled, I prepared the ingredients and began to reroll. Not a problem. Everyone loves this and I have to make a load again for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Diana
