Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is wonderful! This is wonderful! I make it often. One day some company dropped in and I needed something quick and easy to serve and this was a hit. I used real butter (1 full stick instead of 1/2stick of butter) and rather than use the Garlic powder I sauted 3 large minced garlic cloves in the butter. I also increased the Philadelphia Cream cheese to 8 oz., milk to 1 C., and Kraft Parmesan to 3/4cup to make it a little thicker and cheesier (Is that a word?) I also used a full 16 oz. of Fettuccine in order to serve 6 people. With a salad it was plenty! The sprinkle of Nutmeg was a great idea and made it taste Awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was skeptical at first, because of all the great reviews. I was skeptical at first, because of all the great reviews. I must say, this is GREAT! The kids loved it and it was very easy to do. I added the nutmeg as well as black pepper and parsley. I seasoned my ckicken breast w/black pepper & basil and it taste great! I would make this again. I didn't have any garlic powder left, but it was still great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used regular black pepper instead, and skipped the paprika. I used regular black pepper instead, and skipped the paprika. Tastes better than going out to an Italian restaurant! I grilled a chicken breast on the foreman and sauted some canned mushroom slices in butter while the sauce and noodles cooked and topped it off with those when it was ready. I also used whole wheat penne instead of fettuccine. Delicious!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was AMAZING! This was AMAZING!!! I had been looking for an alfredo recipe for so long, my kids would eat ONLY Olive Garden fettucine alfredo, for the first time they liked one made by me. I just doubled the recipe, substituted the Philadelphia Cream cheese with 1/3rd less fat Philadelphia Cream cheese, 1 cup milk with hald cup full cream milk and 1/2 cup fat free half and half, and added freshly sauteed garlic, it was wonderful. Will definitely make it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hi I'm new here. Hi I'm new here. I am physically challenged and use a wheelchair, so I can't really use the stove. Can this recipe be made in the microwave. I don't most of my meals in the microwave or in my conventional oven. If I can do this in the microwave then I will definately make this dish. I love Olive Garden's Alfredo sauce so I would like to try this. Thanks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I found this to be a wonderful 'cheat' sauce! I found this to be a wonderful 'cheat' sauce!!! I altered the recipe adding 2 cloves pressed garlic, some fresh thyme, and for color and appearance a few chopped green onions (just the green part) and some fresh ground pepper! The add more milk comment was great, but you have to be careful and only add a little at a time to get the proper consistency. (I had to thicken it at the end with a sprinkle of flour.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I thought this recipe was delicious and my family loved it as well! I thought this recipe was delicious and my family loved it as well! It was fairly thin when I pulled the pot off the stove but thickened considerably (too much) within a few minutes. Although this didn't affect the flavor, I would probably add a little more milk next time. I also skipped the nutmeg and used neufchatel cream cheese.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I make this all the time! I make this all the time! It's soooo easy and great for entertaining as well. You can add anything you have on hand as well. I like to make mine with chopped ham and peas. It's also great with sauted onion and crumbled bacon or proscuitto (sp?) The cooked sauce freezes well for leftovers another time. And try it on other pasta types too.
