  • Drain pasta; return to pan. Add butter; toss until butter is completely melted. Add half-and-half and cheese; mix lightly.
  • Sprinkle with nutmeg and pepper.

This is a good recipe to shake up plain pasta but I can see how it would be a disappointment for those who want a traditional Alfedo. My family loved it and I feed six. Everyone said it was good which means something! I added a clove of garlic, omitted the nutmeg and pepper because my husband is not a big pepper fan and added more cheese and milk to taste and texture. This was easy and tasty. Oh and I used whole wheat bowties.

I suate' whole garlic cloves with sliced chicken breat, boneless-skinless. After the pasta is cooked i pour the boiling water over frozen broccli floweretts. Turns it into a full meal.

I added some cut up strips of chicken breast and seasoned it with Italian seasoning, olive oil, and garlic to make it a main dish. The chicken went really well with it. Maybe next time I will have better luck

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The recipe was somewhat bland. The recipe was somewhat bland. To make a good alfredo sauce you simply must use REAL parmesan cheese. The half and half helps to kick it up some; I'll probablly leave out the nutmeg and add some garlic next time.
