Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Beat cream cheese in large bowl with mixer until creamy. Gradually beat in milk. Add dry pudding mix; beat 2 min. Whisk in 1 cup COOL WHIP.
  • Spoon about 1-1/2 Tbsp. pudding mixture onto each of half the wafers; cover with remaining wafers to make sandwiches. Freeze 2 hours or until filling is firm.
  • Spread tops of wafer sandwiches with remaining COOL WHIP. Dip in sprinkles. Insert licorice piece in top of each for the fuse. Freeze until ready to serve.

Size Wise

Sweets can be part of a balanced diet but remember to keep tabs on portions.

Variation

Omit sprinkles. Divide 3/4 cup BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut into thirds. Place 2 portions in separate resealable plastic bags. Add 2 drops blue food coloring to coconut in one bag and 2 drops red food coloring to coconut in second bag. Seal bags; shake until coconut is evenly tinted. Dip tops of wafer sandwiches in remaining COOL WHIP, then dip in one of the colored coconuts. Insert licorice piece in top of each.

Note

If you have any pudding mixture left over or choose to not make all 42 wafer sandwiches, layer remaining pudding mixture in parfait glasses with fresh fruit, such as strawberries and blueberries. Top each parfait with a dollop of the remaining COOL WHIP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are super easy and so good. These are super easy and so good. I whipped up a batch, and as soon as I brought them out they were gone! Everyone loved them and they were the talk of the party! I like them a little bit thawed however they are yummy frozen too. I even thought about opening my test kitchen and making some modifications. Like adding a slice of banana on the bottom and make it a mini banana pudding. So many potential variations...just have to have fun with it! Thanks for inspiring me with this recipe!

Since it was October, instead of the firecracker fuse & sprinkles, I set a candy corn piece on top of each one. They taste like cheesecake! **Note though: You need to figure in 4 hours for Cool Whip thawing in refrigerator before you can finish the filling...

My mother and I made these amazing lil bites last year for the 4th of July and they are amazingly delish!! Everyone from the young to the old thought they were fantastic and my 15 year old daughter is already requesting them as a dessert for her birthday this summer. I agree, tis better to pipe the filling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would totally make this again! Would totally make this again! They are like little cheesecake bites. I made the filling and because they are so easy to assemble I let my 3 year old twins put them together. We used plastic baggies with the tips cut of to pipe the filling and topping. This makes for prettier treats and no mess clean up.

They couldn't believe how easy they were to make! Piping the filling onto the Nilla Wafers is the best way to go, made it really easy. I'm about to go make them again, my husband cannot get enough of them!
