Prepare cake batter and bake in 13x9-inch pan as directed on package. Cool cake in pan 15 min. Poke holes in cake and continue as directed.
Prepare using your favorite flavor of cake mix and/or JELL-O Gelatin.
Substitute multi-colored sprinkles for the colored sugar.

I have made these at least 7 times now. They are so easy have have such a bang for your buck feel. I use green icing on the cupcake or green sprinkles if I am in a hurry. I have done several different color combinations but my favorite is red for Christmas. SUPER EASY.
I made these for my daughter's 6th birthday (at school & at home)using full size cupcakes and they turned out great!! I used a cut mini marshmallow for the center one time and then just piped yellow frosting in the center the next time (which I liked better). I also made mini cupcakes using mini marshmallows for her dance recital. They turned out really cute. We made them using many different pastel colors. Little time consuming, but well worth it when you see the big smiles on the kids faces!!
