Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Mix soup and 1/4 cup water. Combine stuffing mix and remaining water; spoon onto centers of 6 large sheets heavy-duty foil sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Top with chicken, ham, vegetables and soup. Fold foil to make 6 packets; place in single layer on rimmed baking sheet.
  • Bake 30 to 35 min. or until chicken is done (165°F). Cut slits in foil to release steam before carefully opening packets.

Cooking Know-How

If the chicken breasts in your market are larger than 1/4 lb. each, they will take longer to cook. Be sure to cook them long enough so that they are no longer pink in the centers and the juices run clear (165°F).

How to Safely Handle Raw Chicken

Always wash hands, preparation surfaces and utensils in hot, soapy water before and after contact with raw chicken. Dry hands and surfaces with a clean towel or paper towels. Take special care in washing worn cutting boards as there may be hard-to-clean grooves or cracks that can collect bacteria.

Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh my! Oh my! This receipe was so good. I followed the receipe from a comment I added a slice of provolone between the chicken and the ham. I used honey ham from the deli. I also added a pkg of onion soup mix to the stuffing. I did not use the vegetables I was going to use broccoli maybe next time I made my vegetables sweet corn on the side. I would highly recommend this if you don't have alot of time and want to make something that goes a long way trust me your family will love it. Also I did not add the amount of water it required and it came out perfect.... instead of using oridinary cream of mushroom I used roasted garlic for flavor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It was very nice. It was very nice. However, the next time I make it I would divide the breast crosswise and make for a thinner breat and adjust the cooking time. I bought the smallest breasts I could find but they were still too thick. The flavor was really quite nice. I think a thinner breast would absorb the sauce better. Also it was very filling. I made roasted potatoes and a salad. The potatoes were not needed at all. A nice dinner to prepare in the morning and pop in the oven when you get home from work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This has quickly become one of our favorites. This has quickly become one of our favorites. It was quick and easy to make and tasted delicious. I shared the recipe with a friend, she made it in a baking dish rather than foil and it wasn't nearly as good. Wrapping in foil made a juicy, gravy like base to the stuffing and enhanced the flavor all the way around. Highly recommended!

I used fresh broccoli instead of peas in my husband's packet. Otherwise, followed recipe and family really liked it.

We aren't huge mushroom fans, so i skip those and add veggies we like, such as corn, bean, carrots or broccoli (usually whatever we happen to have) and also switch out the mushroom to cream of chicken soup. I have also used turkey cutlets and canned gravy for a quick but delicious turkey dinner (just add cranberry)!

I MADE THIS & IT TURNED OUT GREAT, I USED THE NON-STICK REYNOLDS FOIL, IT DIDN'T STICK & I COOKED THEM A LITTLE LONGER BECAUSE THE CHICKEN BREASTS WERE A LITTLE BIG. THE CHICKEN WAS SO TRENDER YOU COULD CUT IT WITH A FORK. NEXT TIME I'M GOING TO PUT A SLICE OF SWISS CHEESE AFTER THE CHOPPED HAM. MY HUSBAND ALSO LOVE THIS WHICH MADE ME VERY HAPPY. THANKS KRAFT

I just made this recipe and used instant brown rice on the bottom instead of stuffing (seasoned the rice with garlic powder, salt, and pepper) then topped the chicken breasts (which I cut to be about a half inch thin) with portabella mushrooms, peas, and cream of mushroom soup! It was good comfort food and healthy, will probably make again.

Looks real good when putting the ingredients together and was excited to try it but dissapointed when done. Neither my husband or I thought it was anything to rave about. It was just ok. Had to bake a while longer cause the chicken was still pink in the middle then the stuffing got over cooked while waiting for the chicken to get done.
