  • Preheat broiler. Dissolve coffee granules in milk in small bowl. Add eggs; beat with wire whisk until well blended. Pour over bread cubes in large bowl; toss to coat. Let stand 5 min. or until egg mixture is evenly soaked up.
  • Thread bread cubes and fruit alternately on skewers. Place on foil-covered baking sheet.
  • Broil 8 to 10 min. or until bread is toasted and cooked through, turning occasionally. Sprinkle with the powdered sugar. Serve with syrup.

For best results, prepare as directed using stale French bread. The drier texture of the stale bread more readily soaks up the egg mixture.

The fruits tasted sensational, baking them in the oven really brought out their natural flavor. to mix things up i used chocolate flavored instant coffee. Try it my family loved and im sure yours will to.
