  • Mix tomatoes, basil, oil, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Cook rotini as directed on package; drain.
  • Toss rotini with tomato mixture and grated topping. Serve immediately.

Tomato & Basil Pasta Salad

Prepare as directed, except rinse pasta with cold water after cooking. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Stir lightly before serving.

Great Substitute

Substitute 1 tsp. dried basil leaves for fresh basil.

It is such a refreshing change from the heavy sauces. I used homegrown tomatoes and fresh basil from my garden. Fantastic! Try it with Feta cheese for a different taste. Both are great. I am going to share this recipe with all my friends. Thanks!

I also recommend fresh parmesan, not the container kind and do not substitute dried basil. My husband and I couldn't eat enough of this...
