  • Combine first 6 ingredients in shallow dish. Heat oil in heavy 3-qt. saucepan or deep fryer on medium heat to 350°F.
  • Meanwhile, whisk eggs and baking powder in pie plate or shallow dish until blended. Stir in water and vinegar. Dip beans, in batches, into egg mixture, then flour mixture, turning to evenly coat beans with each mixture. Repeat dipping in egg, then flour mixture a second time.
  • Add to hot oil, in batches; cook 3 to 4 min. or until golden brown. Remove beans from oil with slotted spoon; drain on paper towel-covered baking sheet.
