Rated 4 out of 5 by from SO easy to make! SO easy to make! Taste was very good. Made with apple pie filling but will try the cherry next time. I had to put foil around the edges of my (glass) pan to keep from drying them out while the middle still needed more cooking time. Also I didn't read the instructions properly and mixed by hand instead of with a mixer but it still came out great. May have been fluffier if not hand mixed? Oh well it was worth it not to lug out my giant KitchenAid beast. I'll definitely make again. Next time I will try cherry. I think it would be great with pumpkin pie filling too! mmmmmm....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this for the super bowl tonight, it was the hit of the party. I made this for the super bowl tonight, it was the hit of the party. went faster than any other dish. I only changed it a tad. I added pure almond extract to the glaze, extra cinnamon to the cake batter, and used the whole 2oz bag of sliced almonds- roasted them in the oven and covered the top of the dessert. It received rave reviews from everyone. I would highly recommend it, it makes a nice large pan, tastes great and is beautiful enough to make you proud. I will make this again and again I am sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from this was pretty good! this was pretty good! So I made some changes to the recipe that worked nicely. Firstly, I used french vanilla cake mix instead of plain white cake mix for extra flavor. I doubled the cinnamon amount the recipe called for and I used Lite Apple pie filling instead of cherry. This all worked really nicely - my family really liked it. Except my family isn't really into pie fillings in general, so they requested I just use regular cut up apples instead next time. I will be making this again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I AM NEVER MAKING THIS AGAIN........... I AM NEVER MAKING THIS AGAIN........... Because....it is soooo good I could not stop eating it, so delicious and not overly sweet OMG. It just kept calling me to the pan---eat me, eat me!!! One of Krafts best ever recipe. You can play with it and add different pie fillings, I used yellow cake mix because I did not have a white cake on hand, I toasted almond slivers because that's what I had in pantry and put 1 tsp. of almond extract in top glaze It was the Bomb!!!! Thanks Kraft

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I didn't have a white cake mix so I used a Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Golden mix. I didn't have a white cake mix so I used a Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Golden mix. Like someone else said I had to put foil around the edges because they browned up way before the center was done. My son doesn't like nuts so I just doubled the icing and it was awesome! Will definetly make again. I have a spice cake in my pantry and a can of apple pie filling that I plan to put together next. So many possibilities. I agree it's more of a dessert than a breakfast item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made this cake yesterday for our teachers' breakfast. Made this cake yesterday for our teachers' breakfast. I used a yellow cake mix and apple pie filling. Had to bake the cake longer..about 45 minutes instead of the 35 min. stated in the recipe. Made the icing and put it in a sandwich baggy, cut the tip off and drizzled it diagonally on the cake. The presentation was beautiful. This was the cake everyone was asking about and wanted the recipe. It was a very easy cake to put together, and the taste was wonderful!

I made this today but since I have an apple pie filling, I decided to use a spice cake mix instead of a white cake mix then followed the recipe. I gave it as a Christmas treat to the teachers and staff at my kids' school. I'm so happy since a couple of teachers raved about how delicious it was. I'm so happy! I'll definitely make this again and will try a lemon cake mix with blueberry pie filling and a devil's food cake mix with cherry pie filling.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was good but not great! This was good but not great! I made this for breakfast last week and I tried it with the apple filling... It was good but I think I will try the cherry flavor next time... to see if it gives it a little better taste... My hubby & Mother said it was ok and my oldest said it was ok.. but nothing to rave about... so I'm hoping if I try the cherry flavor that maybe it will give it a wow taste instead of an ok taste...
