Fudgy Brownie Cups

LOVE this recipe!! I've made it several times and it's always a hit. A great make-a-head dessert for family gatherings, birthdays or any occasion.

What You Need

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate

1/4

cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine

3/4

cup sugar

eggs

tsp. vanilla

Tbsp. flour

1/2

pkg. (17-1/4 oz.) frozen puff pastry sheets (1 sheet), thawed

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 400°F. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on HIGH 1 minute or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar; mix well. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour until well blended.

UNFOLD pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Roll into 15x12-inch rectangle. Cut into 20 (3-inch) squares. Press 1 square onto bottom and up side of each of 20 medium muffin cups. Fill each with 1 Tbsp. of the chocolate mixture.

BAKE 15 to 20 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. Remove from muffin pans. Cool on wire racks. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

Let frozen pastry sheet stand at room temperature, covered, for about 30 minutes to thaw.

I made these because they seemed like the perfect bite-size dessert. The brownies were good, but the puff pastry was dry. My friend commented that she would have liked the brownies by themselves better.

These are awesome! I've made them twice in two weeks and they are gone in an instant. I used a box brownie mix to make it even easier. These will be made for my son's graduation reception!

I'm a certified chocoholic and these are so delicious! I used a low-fat boxed brownie mix and it was great. I bet it's even better with the given brownie recipe. Will try soon!

This was delicious - only I cheated. I'm not a fan of the unsweetened baking chocolate - I've used semi-sweet with this recipe & tastes MUCH better. I say I cheated though, because I used a brownie mix, but then proceeded as the directions stated - MUCH better!!! Topped off with a little whipped cream.

I made this recipe expecting it to be good but it was great! Everyone who has tried it can't have just one! It's better than any other brownie i have ever tried, can't wait to make it agian. It was super easy!

I intend to make this recipe in the future for my school teacher appreciation project..I like them already! The presentation is superb and i can not wait to get into the kitchen and cook up a storm! :)

Well, as someone said, it was okay...but something about it seemed not quite right to me... It tastes better if I eat the two separately... Maybe it just needs ice cream, whip cream, or chocolate syrup... Seems somewhat dry...yeah...that's it...a peculiar combination...
