  • Heat oven 350°F.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add sugars; mix well. Blend in eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts.
  • Spread into 9x5-inch loaf pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake 1 hour to 1 hour 10 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool bread in pan 10 min. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.

Make Ahead

This delicious bread can be baked ahead of time. Cool completely, then wrap in plastic wrap. Place in freezer-weight resealable plastic bag. Freeze up to 1 month. Thaw before serving.

    I also made this recipe as directed. It was exactly 30 min in the oven and it started to spew over everything. My oven was a mess. I continued to bake it as I was determined to see what would happen.n When it cooled, I cut the bread. I had 1 inch of brownie, the other was nothing. I never gave up and baked it 2 more times. Same thing happened. No more I had to throw the last 2 batches away. Took what was baked to work. They loved it. Checked my oven, bought new baking powder etc. Had to give it up.

    Best chocolate loaf cake ever!!! This cake is great if you don't want to make a regular size cake.
