Ghastly Goblin Grins

Made this for a party for adults, they loved it too. Just remember to dip apples in lemon juice or sprinkle with fruit fresh, browned appled don't look nice.

What You Need

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/2

cup packed brown sugar

1/2

tsp. vanilla

large apples, cut into quarters

1/4

cup PLANTERS Slivered Almonds

Make It

BEAT cream cheese with mixer until creamy. Add sugar and vanilla; mix well.

CUT thin wedge in peel side of each apple piece; fill with 1 tsp. cream cheese mixture. Insert 4 to 6 nuts in cream cheese mixture in each apple to resemble teeth.

SPOON remaining cream cheese mixture into serving bowl. Serve with apples for dipping.

Prepare using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.

I have not made this yet, but I love the taste of toasted almonds and I think the brown of the almonds would not only show up better on the cream cheese mixture, but would look spookier!!

This was a big hit at my daughter's birthday party this past weekend. They were all gobbled up within minutes, and I used 10 apples! A fun way to get your kids to eat an apple!

Such a fun idea! I made these for a playdate, and the kids enjoyed this fun snack. I'm going to make them for Halloween, too, as they'd be perfect for our annual party.
