Glazed Soft & Chewy Chocolate Cookies

Fans of soft and chewy chocolate cookies will go wild when you serve these scrumptious bites with their luscious chocolatey glaze and chopped almonds.

What You Need

pkg.  (4 oz.) BAKER'S Unsweetened Chocolate
3/4
cup  butter
2
cups  sugar
3
 eggs
1
tsp.  vanilla
2
cups  flour
1
tub  (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping (Do not thaw.)
1-1/2
pkg.  (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (6 oz.)
1/2
cup  chopped PLANTERS Almonds

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

MICROWAVE unsweetened chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Stir in sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Refrigerate 15 min. or until dough is easy to handle.

SHAPE dough into 60 (1-inch) balls; place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 8 to 10 min. or just until centers are set. (Do not overbake.) Let stand on baking sheet 1 min. Transfer to wire racks; cool completely.

MICROWAVE COOL WHIP and semi-sweet chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min.; stir. Microwave 30 sec. or until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended when stirred. Let stand 15 min. to thicken.

SPREAD chocolate glaze over cookies; sprinkle with nuts. Let stand 40 min. or until glaze is set.

To freeze, place balls of uncooked dough on a wax paper or parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze until firm. Transfer to a plastic freezer bag; freeze up to 3 months. Bake frozen dough 10 min. or just until set.
