Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix flour and brown sugar in medium bowl until blended. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; knead with hands to form ball. Press onto bottom and up side of 10-inch tart pan with removable bottom. Bake 15 min. or until golden brown; cool completely.
  • Meanwhile, bring 1/2 cup granulated sugar, cornstarch, dry gelatin mix and water to boil in saucepan, stirring occasionally; cook and stir 2 min. Cool 20 min.
  • Beat cream cheese, remaining granulated sugar and zest in large bowl with mixer until blended. Whisk in COOL WHIP; spread onto bottom of crust. Top with berries and gelatin glaze. Refrigerate 3 hours or until chilled. Run knife around tart to loosen from rim of pan; remove rim.

Size Wise

Sweets can be part of a balanced diet but remember to keep tabs on portions.

Variation

If you don't have a tart pan, you can use a springform pan instead. Press dough for crust onto bottom and 1 inch up side of pan. Run sharp knife around edge of pan immediately after removing tart from oven to loosen tart. Do not remove tart from pan until glaze is set.

Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It was very good. It was very good. I didn't like the glaze over the strawberry. It got very rubbery even before I put it on top of the strawberries. I reheated and was able to put it on but it stayed rubbery.Did I do something wrong that it got that way? Is there any other glaze that I could put on. I wondered about just using strawberry jam heated up and put on top of the berries. The crust and filling were delicious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This sounds like a refreshing summer dessert and I'm planning on making this recipe tonight. This sounds like a refreshing summer dessert and I'm planning on making this recipe tonight. However, to make this a Healthy Living Recipe, instead of making the tart I am planning on using a reduced fat graham cracker pie crust. I'm also going to try and make it with sugar free strawberry jell-o and fat free cool whip.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The tart itself tasted good. The tart itself tasted good. It was not easy to make, but also not really difficult. A problem I experienced was with the glaze. While I followed the directions explicitly, the glaze was way, way too thick to pour or spread over the fruit. I had to dilute it twice with warm water in order to make it work.
