Tried this scalloped style with the yellow sweet potatoes - fresh. sliced thin then brushed them layer by layer with the glaze and added grated parmesan to each layer. baked covred for an hour. Everyone loved them - they taste like pancakes with butter and syrup.

Even people who aren't normally sweet potato fans (the ones that tried it) were surprised that they liked it. Glad I remembered where I had found the recipe.

Left out the pecans and added a little bit of cinnamon b/c hubby loves baked sweet potatoes with cinnamon. Very nice flavor. I loved them, hubby said it was a little too sweet so I might try less syurp next time.
