A great start to use your own ideas. Sometimes I have replaced cottage cheese with yogurt (any flavor), used Fiber One or All Bran cereal for the added fiber, and just about any canned fruit will do!

I used yogurt instead of cottage cheese and it was wonderful! A great summer treat!

Great breakfast or after school snack. If packing it for lunch be sure to pack cereal on the side, gets soggy.

I thought the Grape Nuts were horrible. Possibly adding a Granola-like cereal would make it better.

I didn't like the Grapenut cereal so I tried it with Honey Bunches of Oat, and it was great.

I make this recipe almost every day. I love it. My kids are always putting their spoons in my bowl for a "taste". I use all kinds of fresh or canned fruit. And, I always use the Grapenuts Trail mix crunch for added texture and the nuts. Love it!
