I made these to have a less-messy snack on hand for my kids. I used sunflower butter since the youngest one is too young for peanut butter and omitted the sugar since we are cutting back on that. They still had a sweet taste and were easy to make.
I made these bars about a year ago (and probably posted a review then, too), and made them again tonight for my daughter's pre-school class. I omited the raisins and used Post Shredded Wheat & Bran (I also used regular peanut butter instead of reduced fat). They were awesome! The kids liked them, too. I will be making these again.
I needed something quick to make for breakfast. I didn't have enough shredded wheat and I had no raisins so I used a mixture of raisin bran and shredded wheat. My boys really liked it. It was delicious.
