Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wanted to make something St. I wanted to make something St. Patrick's Day related, being IRISH and all. I wasn't sure what kind of response I would get from the participants aka my family, but I made this dessert anyway. All I can say is WOW! My kid's devoured it right down to the last little bit on the glass. Even my hubby loved it. I would definately make this again and try paring it with the Corned Beef Brisket and Cabbage for the St. Patrick's holiday. They BOTh were a smashing hit!!!

I can't for the life of me understand why someone said this recipe was A) too minty, and B) too hard to make. This recipe was very easy, relatively quick as dessert recipes go, and NOT ENOUGH minty! :o) I actually had to add more mint to get the flavor right..Also I used Andes Candies instead of the York...Yorks I can see being kind of strong. Also, peppermint is the wrong flavor for Grasshopper anything. All in all a good recipe, I just made some modifications.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this recipe for a party and it was definitely a hit! I made this recipe for a party and it was definitely a hit! The only things that made it not 5 stars was the time it took (I made the full 12 and doing all 3 parts and assembly took me way longer than 25 minutes) and the difficulty of using the mint patties-so hard to cut/sprinkle, etc. I used mint oreos and next time I will probably just use the oreos and garnish with a mint patty. But otherwise great!

I would give this recipe 4 stars however with some minor modifications it went up to a 5 star hit...everyone devoured them, including my one year old!!! First I used mint oreos and andes. Second I used a little creme de menthe with half of the pudding mix (for the adults). Would definately make again as it took about 30 minutes...quick easy and delicious...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Okay. Okay. I made this as a treat for my family and it was a hit! My mom, dad, boyfriend, and myself all rated this a 10 on a scale from 1-10! I did add chopped up Andies candies on top of the desert, as well as adding a whole one on the top of each one of them! This made them extra-minty! So thank you! :)

The mint patties were hard to chop up, next time I would use mint oreo's to make it a little easier (& faster). I took the parfaits to a lunch on the 17th, so I wrapped each one in plastic wrap and tied a green ribbon to each stem & curled it to add a touch of Irish to it!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a great treat! This was a great treat! The whole family enjoyed it and my 3 young boys were able to help me make the parfaits. We will be making this again soon. Next time I will try using the new mint oreos in place of the regular oreos and chocolate covered mint candies.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This recipe was pretty good. This recipe was pretty good. I don't know if I would go to the trouble of making it a parfait again. Also, I cut the recipe in half, otherwise way too much for a family of 4. I did not bother with the food coloring.
