When using fresh green beans you have to bake longer for a softer consistency unless you like your green beans crunchy. After 40 min on 350, I then increased temp to 425 for an additional 20 min and still I wasnt pleased with the consistency of the green beans. I used greek plain yogurt to sub the sour cream. The flavor was good. However, I wont use this recipe again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious and EASY! HAnds down my go to green bean casserole!! I love to use fresh green beans—however, STEAM THEM FIRST! They will be too crunchy if you don’t. I put them in a steam bag for about 4min then i do everything else.
