Grilled Cheese Corn & Bacon Croquettes

Croquettes 101: They're just a mixture of bacon, corn, sour cream and Cheddar rolled into balls and thrown on the grill. But my, how folks enjoy them!

What You Need

cup  cornmeal
1
cup  KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/3
cup  flour
8
slices  cooked OSCAR MAYER Bacon, crumbled
1
Tbsp.  sugar
1/2
cup   frozen corn, chopped
2
 green onions, chopped
1/4
cup  BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1
 egg

Make It

PREHEAT griddle to medium heat.

COMBINE first 5 ingredients in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients just until sticky dough forms.

SHAPE into 16 small croquettes, using about 2 Tbsp. dough for each.

GRILL each croquette 6 min., turning every 2 min., until browned on all sides.

Make Ahead
Dough can be prepared and shaped up to 4 hours ahead of time. Keep refrigerated until ready to grill.
Substitute
Substitute 1/4 cup chopped green and/or red peppers for onions.
Use Your Stove
Cook croquettes in large skillet sprayed with cooking spray 3 to 4 min. on each side or until golden brown.
